All Work - or No Sermons

Sermon Prep is hard work! And, as we all know, the hard work is to put our brains and hearts to the text of Scripture and to helpful books, to read and think carefully and well, with an eye to the needs of the people we'll preach. And then there's the hard work of knowing what to leave out, and how to say what we really need to say in the clearest and most effective way possible.

On Sunday evening I'm back at Hope, and am starting a series of 10 on Prayer. I'm opening up the Lord's Prayer week by week. These are the books that I've been digging into for Luke 11.1-13 - 'He is Father.'

In between, we've got over 50 people coming for pie and peas at ourhouse, and we'll spend the afternoon together. I'm praying for a great day on every level!
